After using an assortment of random knives for years, my husband-to-be and I registered for these knives and received them as wedding shower gift. We have now owned them for over a year, and we couldn't be more pleased. Each knife has a unique feel, with a good heft and excellent cutting ability. The sleek, attractive design of the set lends an air of gourmet to our kitchen, and the fine appearance of the serrated steak knives makes them blend right in at your fanciest dinner party. Overall, a wonderful starter set of knives at a great price!
Description of Sabatier Prosteel 15-Piece High Carbon Stainless Steel Knife Set with Block
Stored in their black, three-tier, hardwood block, the six stainless-steel kitchen knives and steak knives in this set not only fulfill a cook's every need, but also look great with their stylish stainless-steel handles poking out. The six kitchen knives include an 8-inch chef's knife, an 8-inch serrated bread knife, an 8-inch slicing knife, a 6-inch utility knife, a 6-inch boning knife, and a 3-1/2-inch paring knife. The six steak knives have 5-inch serrated blades. Stamped from high-carbon stainless steel, the knives' stainless-steel handles are shaped to snugly fit the hand. All the knives are dishwasher-safe but hand washing protects the edges. An 8-inch sharpening steel for keeping edges aligned and tough 8-inch kitchen shears, both of which fit into the block, are also included. --Fred Brack What's in the Box
